Heat Treating Our punch tooling products are available in A2, M2 and PS (powdered steel) grades of high speed tool steel, thus necessitating Tipco’s heat treat capabilities. What this means to you, the end user, is that the physical properties of the tool steel are optimized and, by heat treating in-house, we ensure process repeatability and gain better control over lead times. For new applications, we welcome challenges to consider new alloy systems that may be outside of our traditional base materials and can work with our customers to develop prototype punch tooling for the right opportunity.
